Whitekirk Scrambles 4/10/2015

A good day at the Scrambles at Whitekirk in East Lothian.

Some nice old machines, twin shocks and others. That great smell from Castrol R racing oil lingering in the air as well which brought back memories for the old boy and his scrambling days.  Not too bad a number of riders.

Cockenzie chimneys - Here today and gone tomorrow.

Cockenzie power station was opened in 1967 and decommissioned in 2013. A coal fired power station its chimneys caught the eye from miles around, when heading along the A1 to Edinburgh, when flying in over the Firth of the Forth or when looking over from the Kingdom of Fife. At noon on 26th of September that landscape changed for ever.

Taken on the eve of the demolition from the field to the west of the chimneys.

Again on the eve of the demolition from nearby Longniddry Bents.

Out with a bang sadly I never managed to get as close to the action as I would have liked. These shots all taken from the outlet pipe at Gosford Bay.

Nope not the wonders of photoshop, after the dust has settled the stacks are gone.

East Fortune 13th September 2015

Colvin on 2 wheels as opposed to the back wheel for a change!

Nice wee paint job in the team Irn Bru colours. Worth a close look at the rear seat cover decals :-)

Nice we overtake coming out of the bend onto the power.

A few photos taken at East Fortune race track this morning. Nice sunny morning just beating the rain late in the afternoon.

Easter Lamb's

Had a great week in a holiday house at Ballintubber, County Mayo. April 2015 and sun all week making it even better. These little lamb were in the field at the bottom of the garden. Great hearing them and seeing them all bouncing about.

Just wonder what this pair are up to. You'd think one was whispering something into the others ear!
The Eclipse

Ok I must get better at this and set some time aside for it!!

Just now got round to uploading an image of the eclipse taken from the back garden on  well timed but rare day off!
