Wild Atlantic Way - Mullet Peninsula Ireland

Well the Wild Atlantic Way is outstanding and some time spent on the Mullet Peninsula which I tend to visit at least once a year did not let us down last year again.  Also know as the Barony or Erris it is located in County Mayo.

The scenery is outstanding as can be seen in the photos.

There are some great beaches on the peninsula and the Atlantic certainly provides some outstanding waves. The pictures show the views out towards Black rock. This area sadly seen the crew of a rescue helicopter 'rescue 118' lost at sea.

Everyone we happen to stumble into in this are are so friendly with the pace of life being unhurried. I have and will continue to advise anyone to visit this lovely part of Ireland.

There are plenty of great places to eat as well from hotels to pubs. Also in this area is a cracking golf course at Carne.
